RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Proactively manage and optimize VMware Cloud Environments for Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Configure, maintain, and manage SAN environment in DC and co-location sites.
- Proactively manage and optimize multiple Exchange and Office365 Sites for Bluebridge Networks and its customers
- Proactively manage, administer and maintain Firewalls, switches, and routing equipment for Bluebridge Networks and its customers.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WWAN, and Internet connections.
- Install, maintain and support Windows based server infrastructure and roles including AD, DNS, DHCP, SQL, RDS, IIS.
- Configure, maintain, and support customer infrastructure as needed.
- Monitor network security to protect against external, internal, and/or programmatic attacks.
- Assist in defining overall network security strategies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain successful backup and continuity solutions in primary and secondary locations, as well as customer sites.
- Utilize network monitoring software to ensure timely alerts and response to network issues.
- Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
- Serve as an escalation point for network systems operational issues.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Investigate developing network technologies and provide recommendations regarding the future application of such technologies and related productivity gains.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours issues in a timely manner based upon severity and/or business impact.
Desired Skills and Experience Windows server versions up to and including Windows Server 2019, Windows workstations through Windows 11, and networking experience in a complex, multi-vendor network environment.
- Experience with VMware in a Windows Server environment, Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
- Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN and WWAN configuration management and administration.
- Experience with NetApp, Dell, Nimble and Intelliflash a plus.
- Proven background of providing great customer service.
- Strong documentation skills
- Hardware and software including SAN, server, and networking solutions.
- Current Windows Server/Workstation certifications preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team on multiple projects while meeting deadline demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills in analyzing complex problems, troubleshooting and resolving them and ability to create and consistently maintain, reliable systems documentation.
