About Us:

Little Elite Explorers Preschool is a newly established early childhood education center committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality educational experiences that support every child's developmental journey. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Education Director to lead our team and help build a culture of excellence from the ground up.

Position Summary:

The Education Director will oversee the daily operations and educational programming of the preschool. This leadership role is responsible for developing curriculum, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering strong relationships with families. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic early childhood education professional who is committed to creating a positive learning environment and maintaining the highest standards of care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive early childhood curriculum that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional guidance to teaching and support staff, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all New York State licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families through open communication, parent engagement, and responsive support.
  • Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Manage center budgets, resources, and supplies to support efficient operations while maintaining high-quality educational standards.
  • Partner with leadership to implement enrollment, marketing, and community outreach strategies that support program growth.
  • Stay informed of current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education and incorporate innovative approaches into programming and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • New York State Teaching Certification (Birth–Grade 2).
  • Strong understanding of New York State childcare licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in childcare center leadership, management, and/or group teaching with children under six years of age.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child development, curriculum design, and age-appropriate instructional practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities, including budgeting and resource management.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
