Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Job Captain to lead architectural project teams through all phases of design. The Senior Job Captain is responsible for leading and managing team members throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves preparing construction documents (CDs) and overseeing key project phases, including Pre-Design, Schematic Design (SD), and Design Development (DD). Depending on the size and complexity of the project, the SJC may collaborate with additional team members and is expected to effectively delegate tasks to ensure efficiency and project success
Responsibilities
Team Management
- Be able to demonstrate the basic understanding of the civil engineer's plans such as boundary survey, grading plans, hydrology and underground utility plans.
- Delegate tasks effectively based on project size and complexity
- Review of the project to confirm compliance with the municipal code and the building code
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Job Captains and other team members.
Project Coordination
- Prepare and oversee the development of entitlement package and construction documents (CDs); and
- Engage in client interactions, project team coordination, and independent site work, including surveys and project calls.
- Consultant and client collaboration
- Ensure adherence to building codes and coordinate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) disciplines; and structural, civil engineer and landscape architect
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
