Full job description

Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative and highly respected medical team. This is a long-term onsite contract opportunity in Aurora, Colorado, in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities.

You will provide comprehensive anesthesiology care for complex surgical and procedural cases, including cardiac, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, ENT, urologic, ophthalmologic, and diagnostic procedures, while working alongside a dedicated group of medical professionals in a setting that follows nationally recognized standards of care. Multiple positions may be available, offering the opportunity to be part of a strong, team-oriented practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide general anesthesia, preoperative and postoperative care, acute pain management, airway support, CPR assistance, sedation, and anesthesia outside of the operating room as needed
  • Support cardiac surgery cases, including CABG and cardiac valve procedures
  • Provide diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography support for medical and surgical patients
  • Collaborate with CRNAs, physicians, residents, and surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement, staff meetings, documentation, patient safety, and compliance activities

What We’re Looking For

  • MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility through the American Board of Anesthesiology
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or Washington, D.C.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Advanced certification in Transesophageal Echocardiography
  • Fellowship training in critical care or cardiac anesthesia, plus recent cardiac anesthesia experience, including CABG and valve procedures

Schedule & Coverage

  • Weekday operating room coverage, generally Monday through Friday
  • 10-hour onsite shifts
  • Call coverage may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • On-call providers must be available by phone within 15 minutes
  • On-call providers must be able to report onsite within 60 minutes when clinically needed
