Experience Bookkeeper (Remote) – Part-Time or Full-Time

Red Square Accounting & Tax LLC is a growing, 5-star-rated family-owned tax and bookkeeping firm based in Orlando, Florida. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage a portfolio of business clients.

This is primarily a remote position for; however, candidates located in Central Florida are preferred for occasional in-person meetings or document exchanges if needed.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience and strong QuickBooks Online knowledge. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, communicating directly with clients, and managing multiple bookkeeping accounts while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

You will be provided with a company MacBook laptop. All work must be performed on the company-provided device, so prior experience and proficiency with macOS are required.

This position has room for growth and expanding the bookkeeping department as our business grows.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for approximately 12+ business clients
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare journal entries
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Review and categorize transactions
• Communicate directly with clients through our client portal, email, and occasional phone calls
• Assist with client onboarding and account setup (training provided)
• Support payroll setup and processing
• Assist with business formation projects (training provided)
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain service quality

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Experience performing account reconciliations
• Ability to create and post journal entries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a tax and accounting firm environment
• Experience with payroll processing
• Familiarity with TaxDome or similar client management software
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
• Bilingual in Russian is plus but not required.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
